We are home from the beach. Gene is still tripping with his brothers on Topsail Island...but the rest of us made it home in one piece. We had a great time with Bob, Cheryl, Justin, Adam and Carey Borden. We stayed at their house Sat. night and went to church Sunday with them, then we all drove 2+ hours to our rented beach house in Surf City. It was right on the beach, so convenient and so fun. We went on the beach for walks, sand castle building, or just putting our toes in the water about 3 times per day. It was a great break from the normalcy of our everyday stuff here at home. Uncle Bennett joined us the last 2 days (on Tues.) The weather was perfect the whole time, sun low 80's and a slight breeze from the ocean. It was almost too good to be true. Tara caught some kind of bug and had a fever Mon.-Weds. Jake fell and scraped both knees at a rest stop on the way home, but other than that, it was a perfect trip. It was a huge house, room for more family, the next time we go, all of you are more than welcome to join us! Have a happy birthday Jonathan and Tyler on the 25th!
