Emily's 11!

So, we had our final birthday celebration.  Started with pancake pile (which we all ate). topped off with a candle.  She willingly spent the day at school (unlike some others we know) with sweet cards from friends and a HUGE pixie stick from her teacher.  We ate dinner at outback .  Her favorite gift was a mini lego set of the Leaning Tower of Pisa. She is our angel.  Content with the simple things in life, appreciator of beauty around her and loving  to everyone she meets.  Happy Birthday Miss Emily!

We had a blast!

This past holiday we had a blast at Laser Quest.  We rented the whole place out and had a huge birthday party for both Emily and Jacob.  They have several friends in common and their birthdays are so close together, it just made sense.  Jacob chose a chocolate chip cookie "cake"
and Emily chose a yellow cake (which are typically so bad from the store but, this one was delicious!)

Ben was the popular one with a "secret" glow in the dark pen.  Everyone was drawing on their skin to light up in the arena.

This was the best kind of party.  Screaming and running and more running and screaming and it was all "ok", in fact, you were supposed to scream and run!!!
Emily's party of "older kids"11 yr. olds

After the first game .....handing out the scores.

Most of the kids-we could never get them all together at the same time.  29 kids to gather is tough.

Jacob's party of all boys.....He decided it would be boys against girls.  They outnumbered the girls by a few.....but, I'm not really sure who turned out to be the winners.

Two smart cookies......

My two 10 year olds.  A few days after Jacob's 10th birthday and only a few days before Emily's 11th birthday.  She gets crazy mad when I say they are my "twins". They are more alike than different some times.  When they were babies I honestly could not tell who was crying if I was in the other room.  They finish each other's sentences alot and they even picked the same book from the bookfair at school (amoung hundreds of books!)  And most recently they both HAD to have their party at Laser Quest.

Our treat bags that say "thanks for coming to our party, We had a a blast!"  but, most of them didn't even make it to the parking lot.....they popped the poppers and ate all the starbursts so fast!

Tara warming up for the first game WH vs. Maryville.

Night of Knitting.  Tara made a wire ring and a bread basket .  A pinterest idea gone wrong...again!  But, still tasted good.
Ladies in waiting...waiting to play.  We're still figuring out the game.  But, lots of fun.

We didn't get the sock memo this week, but, looks like we need the distraction for the other teams.
Tara made posters .

Jacob's valentines this year.....lego, glow in the dark light sabers that say "may the force be with you on valentine's day."
We celebrated Jacob's 10th birthday this past Monday.

He's happy with star wars mini figures.

He chose an oreo pie instead of a cake this year.
