For all of you friends and family....we thought we would find our own blogspot and let you know on a regular basis where you can find news of us "Tennessee Gene Bordens". You can check here anytime you like to see updated photos and info about what we've been up to.
Well, We have survived the summer and are now full swing into school for Tara. She began Kindergarten and loves it. Her first comments in the car after picking her up the first day were "Mom, wow, I had the most fun ever..... and I didn't throw up!" The second day she said "I had more fun this time than last time." We are all so happy she is happy. She has an adventurous spirit and that is hard to keep inside the house for very long. She wanted to walk into school all by herself the second day. She is doing so much by herself now.
Emily will begin preschool in 2 weeks. Surprisingly Jake and Emily are getting along better and better every day. Jake will dance with Emily (which is her favorite) He's too young to realize boys don't like to do that. Emily more and more loves to get a laugh out of her audience.....meaning Tara and Jake. She'll do anything to see people laugh at her....and she does her best to break up fights. The only drawback of having Emily sleep in our house is she wakes up several times at night to "fix her blanket that's messy".
Jacob has had a new experience being the bully in nursery. He used to be the only boy...but during the summer we had 7 boys move into the nursery. He has been kicked out twice now. Not fun! He tackled a boy and was beating him in the face for taking away his toy. He does have a little bit of a temper. He literally locked himself in his room last week. I couldn't get it open. Between us both working on either side of the door, we broke it. We just like to keep Gene lined up with projects for the weekends.
I just finished up another on-line class. It is going pretty well. It's nice to have reading that's required of me. I feel I have something to take my mind off the house cleaning and kids for a few minutes each day. I disappear upstairs to the computer until I hear cries for help.
Gene is doing great. He's actually going to get a chance to golf this week with an old friend. He's been super busy making changes at work the last couple weeks and will be busy until all the changes are understood and permanent.
We will be in touch. Have a great day everyone.
