Wow. It has been quite the week. Saying goodbye to teachers and friends was a little tough for some of us. But, mostly we are happy to say hello to summer.
We went bowling on Monday and had a fantastic time. Everyone got a strike at some point. We played 2 whole games. The kids were very entertaining. Jacob dropped the ball 3 times during his "back swing". Very scary...we all moved over to the other couch. He also threw it into the small area between the lanes and a guy had to drop down by the pins and climb through. When that happened and we saw only his feet Jacob said "oh, look. It's Santa coming down the chimney"....We were the only ones in the place. We had them change the channel once so we could watch "wipe out" like the other screens were playing but, then a soap opera came on and we asked them to change it again ....the lady put our screen on the weather channel! aha! Gene's black ball kept getting stuck...we buzzed about 5 different times. The staff was all happy to see us go. We wanted to see Night at the Museum 2 but, all the tickets were sold out.
The kids have settled in nicely to a summer routine. We are feeding some friends dogs while they are out of town. Every day the kids find a little time to practice math, handwriting and reading. Our library is even teaching Italian to 9-11 yr. olds this summer. So far, so good.

I hope you all have a great summer. I am glad to have David and Machella home and hopefully I can find things to keep them busy.
Angelina,
What a great way to start your summer!! Your bowling adventure sounded really fun, where did you go bowling? Thanks for sending me your blog link, I love reading blogs!! It will be a great way to keep in touch especially because we aren't in the same ward anymore:(
