One little sudden wind/rain storm took this tree by surprise. It was on our neighbor's property but fell and hit our house.
Luckily it only hit the roof of the utility room (with a cement floor). It leaks, but it can all be cleaned up.
We were planning on replacing the 4" gutters with 6" anyway.
After the tree was cleared.....this was all that was left.
The worst part was how long it took to get our power back on in the house. 7 days! Thanks to all our friends who took us in a few hours at a time and let us feel of your friendship and use your electricity to plug in our cell phones, hair dryers, and laptops...and for feeding us. We sure appreciate everything!
It's amazing what you realize you can live without when you have to.
We are glad we don't have to live without our friends!

What a nightmare! I still cant believe you guys had to go a week with no power!
