Wanna see my guts?

Tara showing her digestive system

Shh! Emily is hunting wabbits.....or dinosaurs. A future palentologist?

Help! I'm trapped...I'm going to be eaten! Ahhhh!

These pictures were from our trip to Nashville. While we were there we went to the Discovery Science Center. Lots of way cool things for kids to do. Most of the photos are too dark. But, it was lots of fun.

This week has been fun as we wind down with less to do in school. Tara had a field trip to the Smokies baseball game. She enjoyed her freedom all day at the ball park with $20 in her pocket. We've been able to have a few playdates with friends from school as there is less an less homework to do afterschool.

We've suffered a bit for a few weeks (well Gene has suffered) having to mow the grass by hand since our riding mower was in the shop. Gene had to push mow....which is alot of work, I remember. We also have the Explorer in the shop...a wheel barring something or other. We had a huge gravel truck pull up to our front door on Friday and dump a new driveway of gravel..we will see if this holds out a little better. The last 10 years of rain has washed away most of our old driveway.
Gene left yesterday for Oxford. This is a long trip, she'll be gone until the 26th. Over the weekend he's going to try to take the train over to Scotland to see the humongous bagpipers convention. He wanted to buy himself a set of pipes but, the shops will all be closed due to this big gathering. Can't wait to see what he discovers there.
So, I am left to attend all the field days and end of year parties by myself. Plus 3 days of inservice with the kids coming along with no one to keep them. Cross your fingers and wish me luck with it all.
